Local roots, licensed expertise
Coastal Shield Insurance opened its doors in Wilmington in 2017, built on founder Anna Brothers' experience in insurance and real estate dating back to 2006. From the start the idea was simple: coverage decisions are easier when a licensed neighbor explains them.
Today the agency serves households and businesses across North and South Carolina, pairing hands-on guidance with quotes from multiple trusted carriers — so protection fits the life it is protecting.

Anna Brothers
Anna founded Coastal Shield in 2017 after more than a decade in insurance and real estate. Raised around the property business in the Baltimore–Annapolis area, she came to North Carolina to attend UNCW, graduated with honors from the Cameron School of Business, and earned her real estate broker's license in 2005 before adding property, casualty, life, and health insurance licenses in 2006. Years at Nationwide and NC Farm Bureau taught her exactly what she wanted her own agency to be: independent, local, and personal.
